zines!

Picture
zines on postcolonial identities

I write zines on the intersection of eastern and western philosophy. Specifically, I focus on how the body is treated in those intersections and what historical context supports good or bad health according to the local landscape.

Guided meditation: A walk in the woods

Picture
Find peace and relaxation in your mind.

Do you feel like your mind is always buzzing? With a stressful work environment and and inner worries, it's easy to slip into a pattern of negative thoughts and succumbing to our fear. Join me in an intentional, meditative walk through the woods to find the things that give you strength.
Listen.

Try this!

Picture
Be generous. Make space.

For many, it's hard to take space for yourself without feeling vulnerable or aggressive. Find one element that resonates with you, earth, water, fire, or air. Take flowers, natural items like sticks and stones, and make a mandala (circular pattern) out of it. Think about all the things that led you to feel happy or sad. Construct an image of your intentions and how it grounds you. Let go of something that has been bothering you.
  • Earth: Sweep your mandala into the earth and bury it in the woods
  • Water: Gather your mandala and let it wash away in a stream and dissolve into the water
  • Fire: Create a fire (outside) and slowly dismantle your mandala piece by piece and feed it to the fire to transform your intentions to something new
  • Air: Fan your mandala to watch it blow away and come apart. Let it scatter and be diffuse.
This activity is best done outside, while enjoying your surroundings in nature!
